Overview
Overview

Within the East Africa’s Arid and semi arid lands there are intermittent fighting of communities surrounding cattle theft and fighting for water and pasture. It is clearly demonstrated among the the Karamoja that conflict has been escalated to ethnic violence over the past decades. This paper outlines a historical analysis of violent conflict among the Karamajoong people and demonstrates the role of climate change in exacerbating the strained relations among different communities within the cluster.
