MUTED HISTORIES: SEMINAR ONE

The Department of History and Archaeology successfully hosted the first in a number of series of seminars dubbed "Muted Histories" . The seminar was held in a blended mode with the speaker of the Day and a physical audience being at the UoN Towers, 4th Floor room MLT 03 while an online audience was participating via Zoom. The event was held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2.30 pm.

The keynote speaker of the day was Mr. Jacob Akech presenting his research on "Reflections on the Silences and Silenced voices in the 1982 coup." Jacob A. Akech is a student of Africa’s history and politics. He studied at the University of Nairobi, the University of the Witwatersrand, and Makerere University. He teaches politics and history at Kenyatta University, and occasionally, writes on topical political issues.
