BA Degree Program in History

Overview

The program allows the pursuit of three degree options: as a speciality or as a major for those who wish to specialize in History, and as a minor for those who wish to pursue History as a secondary speciality

Students majoring in History are expected to take all core course units, one common undergraduate course unit outside the Department of History during Semester III, a minimum of two specialized / elective course units during Semester III, and a minimum of three specialized / elective course units in Archaeology during Semesters IV though Semester VII. Students can choose to register for a project paper (equivalent to four course units) during their final Semester.

 

Students who choose History as a minor are expected to take at

 

least two course units in History during Semesters I and II, one common undergraduate course unit outside the Department of History during Semester III, and a minimum of three course units in any combination of both core and specialized / elective course units in Archaeology during Semesters IV through Semester VII. Students can choose to register for a project paper (equivalent to four course units) during their final Semester.

 

 

 

 

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the minimum entry requirements for the admission into the University of Nairobi and the Module 2 program of the faculty of Arts
